Horizontal Belt Filters
Horizontal belt filters are one of the most commonly used vacuum filters in industry due to their flexibility of operation, adaptation to corrosive slurries and suitability to handle large throughputs. A horizontal belt filter has an endless belt that rides in a flat plane like a track on a bulldozer. At one end the slurry is fed onto the belt. The liquor is sucked through the cloth and at the discharge end a dry cake drops off. Horizontal belt filters are versatile and ideally suited for cake washing applications.
